Waldhaus Pub at Fairmont Banff Springs - Banff, Alberta, Canada

We golfed at Banff Springs and then wanted to catch the rest of the football game.  We walked up to the Waldhaus pub, which has a spectacular patio, but elected to sit inside to watch the game.  It has a TRUE European pub feel.  The tables are not crammed together and the entire atmosphere is authentic.

While I was weary of dining in a Fairmont restaurant, the first thing I will say - the prices here are REASONABLE.  Not cheap, but not overpriced either.

I was not starving, so I had the wings.  Many people will judge a place by their wings, and I am one of them.  They were hearty and the flavor was excellent.  Quite a bit of kick for salt and pepper I must say!  Ryan had the Bavarian Deli Sandwich and loved it.  He said the flavor was excellent and it was not as heavy as he anticipated.

The service was excellent.  And while the pub was almost entirely sat at one point, it was not loud and did not appear overly busy (even though it was!)

HIGHLY recommended as a stop in Banff!

Oh and their skillet nachos - they could feed a few people quite easily!  They are huge!
